AELF_SPACEDELAY is a panning delay for Max4Live. The particularity of this audio effect is that it's possible to move the stereophonic position of the delay's signals. Also each channel (Left/Right) have independet parameters such as filter, delay times, feedback, freeze, gain.
(aelf_space delay appearence) The view of the device is divided in three main areas (filter, delay, moving)
plus the output control area. FILTER
(filter view)
You can choose several filter types (LPF, BPF, HPF and many others), cutting frequency (fc) and Q factor (Q) independently for L/R channels. To control the frequency cut and the Q factor it's possible to use the sliders or the filter graph.
DELAY
(delay view) Here it's possible to control all the parameters of the delay:
• sync mode: in sync mode the time delay depends on the master quantization set in Ableton Live, and the numbered switches represent time delay in 16th notes.

• In time mode the delay time reverts to milliseconds. In this case, to edit the delay time, click and drag up or down in the Delay Time eld, or click in the eld and type in a value.

• The Feedback parameter sets how much of the output signal returns to the delay line input.

Also there is a Freeze that if activated will cause the delay to endlessly cycle the audio which is in its buffer at the moment that the button is pressed, ignoring any new input until Freeze is disabled.

If you set the feedback at 100% it will be automatically set on freeze mode.

• Gain: To compensate for filtering at the input, each delay channel has its own volume control.
MOVING
In this section it's possible to control and monitoring the stereophonic position of the L/R signals. In the view window the Left channel is the white triangle, and the Right is the red. These triangles turn on and off according to the time delay, also their position change according to the range and position parameters that controls the stereophonic position of the signals.
• Range: controls the panning distance between L and R signals, at high value they are very space (at 100% are totally panned), at low value are close.
• Position: controls the final panning of the two signals: you can move it left or right.
Each this parameters can be moved with independent LFOs.
(LFO's box control) Another LFO can be used to control filter's depth.
AELF_SPACEDELAY is made in Max6. It's at 1.3 version (07.07.2013).
